7 Reasons to Visit the Dollywood DreamMore Resort in the Winter

Sharing is caring!

Dollywood may be closed, but the Dollywood DreamMore Resort is definitely open for the Winter. Here are 7 reasons you should visit during this time of the year!

The lovely perk of riding the DreamMore Trolley to Dollywood is definitely one of my favorite reasons to stay at the Dollywood DreamMore Resort, but with Dollywood being closed from January to March, you might think DreamMore Resort is too – wrong!

Even in the winter months, this luxurious mountain resort is my family’s first choice of hotels when we visit Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and here are the 7 reasons why!

The Spa at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort

There are plenty of amenities to take advantage of when you visit the Dollywood DreamMore Resort, but The Spa will always be at the top of my list.

The luxury of this spa is one that you would expect to find in a big city. But with that, you get down to earth service and pampering from the staff. It doesn’t hurt that they use the best products either. FarmHouse Fresh is quickly becoming some of my favorite daily products and I love requesting my favorite scents during services.

While it isn’t a requirement to stay at the DreamMore Resort to experience The Spa, it is a great way to spend a winter day before retiring to your room for the night.

Breathtakingly beautiful scenery

I always find myself catching my breath when I look out the window of any room I’m in at the resort, but this past weekend, that view was truly incredible.

We woke up to about 5 inches of snow Saturday morning and couldn’t have been happier!

Dollywood DreamMore Resort Restaurants

I joked on Twitter over the weekend about “Who needs milk & bread when you have Song & Hearth?” It’s true! The restaurant at Dollywood DreamMore Resort is one of my favorites in town.

The buffet breakfast is the girls’ favorite because 2 words – Sprinkle Pancakes. Yes, they have a made-to-order pancake station, right alongside the omelette station.

Their a-la-carte lunch and Southern buffet dinner are delicious too. You’ll never go hungry at the resort, that’s for sure.

For quick service, you can make a quick trip to the DM Pantry. There you’ll find Starbucks coffee, sandwiches, quiche, freshly made pizza, fresh pastries, and much more!

Make a splash in the indoor pool

It’s definitely true – who cares about getting snowed in when you have an indoor pool?! We certainly did not and spent lots of time at the indoor pool.

Tons of entertainment for the kids

As if the indoor pool wasn’t enough, kids have plenty to keep them busy during their stay at Dollywood DreamMore Resort in the winter time. Although some nights it’s a little cool, the staff still offers “S’mores Roasting” outside over the fire pits in the late evening.

Comfort of home

While there weren’t many people rocking the day away this past weekend, there were plenty of visitors hanging out by the fireplaces. With complimentary warm apple cider served in the lobby in the evenings and the comfort and furnishings in the room, you’re sure to find yourself happy with your home away from home.

Most area attractions are open

While Dollywood and Splash Country aren’t open during the winter months, there are plenty of area attractions that still are. Bundle up your family and visit some of the other Top 20 Attractions to Visit in the Smoky Mountains [according to me!] and check out Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Titanic Museum, and more.

It’s also the perfect time to visit dinner attractions like Dixie Stampede and the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show. Even though crowds are low, these shows do sell out so be sure to call ahead for tickets!
